Description

Located in Cambridge on the historic Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus, Kresge Auditorium has served MIT’s student body since its construction and dedication in 1955. Eero Saarinen, a famous architect of Finnish and American descent, designed the auditorium, which bears the name of Sebastian S. Kresge, who owned the stores eventually known as Kmart.

In Kresge Auditorium, students and faculty can gather for formal events and concerts. From each seat in the venue, spectators have an unobstructed view. Saarinen designed the building to have incredible acoustic capabilities. In fact, Saarinen’s geometric design of the auditorium permits people to hear one another’s whispers from across the lobby.

To this day, Kresge Auditorium provides an important service on behalf of social cohesion and academic prowess at MIT. Founded in 1861, MIT constantly ranks among the nation’s best schools, especially in the fields of math, science, and engineering and other disciples such as economics, business, and management.

You will enjoy the attention to detail and subtle grasp of communal  spaces in each print,  making  these landmarks and their history a warm part of your home or office.  Each Panoramic Graphics edition print features artisanal inks on high quality lithographic paper and is authenticated by the Rich Ahern estate.   Grow your art collection or give as a gift.
